This site was built together by "an INTP who is good at reasoning things out" and "an ISTJ who is good at getting things done".
Honestly, one of the founders, the INTP, is often called a "fake E" by friends. In their eyes I am quick to react, I talk a lot, and I look impossibly lively. But only I know that I have taken the MBTI test 10 times, and 8 of those came back I (introvert). That kind of loneliness, when the outside does not match the inside, is something only an I can understand.
My partner, the ISTJ, is the rock-steady, 100% I. We are two textbook engineering minds, and underneath we are a contradictory mix of "data geek" and "fortune-reading geek". To make sense of ourselves, we went through every tool out there as if we were running an experiment.
We spent late nights comparing birth charts, trying to find our natural strengths; we followed the weekly horoscopes, hoping to catch the best timing. We even worked seriously through the yearly cycles of Bazi, and calculated our own life path numbers. Even tarot readings and astrological personality profiles were part of our database.
All of these tools are wonderful, but as T types who always want to ask "why", we kept feeling that one piece of the puzzle was missing: "MBTI is loved all over the world and we have taken it many times, but after we get those four letters, we still do not really understand the logic running underneath. And when something actually comes up, we do not know how to apply it."
If fortune reading is the weather forecast, then MBTI is the operating system (OS) of our minds.
That is why we decided to anchor ourselves in MBTI. To find the most accurate answers, we took almost every personality test there is, compared many versions of the 16 personality types test, and worked through countless personality analysis materials.
We found that many of the tests out there are too brief: they hand you a result but never tell you the principle behind it. We are not geniuses, just two ordinary people stubborn enough to keep digging until we could understand ourselves. We spent a great deal of time translating this complex framework of personality analysis into plain language that anyone can follow.
So we combined our strengths — the INTP's way of taking human logic apart, plus the ISTJ's insistence on a stable system — and built maybeits.me. Is uploading a photo safe? Do I have to upload one?
📷 What the photo is for: This is a report "written for you and drawn for you". You upload a photo so that the AI can generate your own chibi-style scene illustrations, and the main character in the report looks like you.
